Front Cover- Identify

In my final piece, I added another plug onto the front cover, stating the price, as well as adding more rectangular shapes to give it a sense of continuity. I also made the whole cover a bit lighter to enhance the image and also make the text easier to use. I stuck to a basic white, black and grey text colours as the background and the guitar is quite colourful which makes the text hard to match up. This is why I stuck to basic text so I can keep the background the same, as well as the bright colours making the dull ones stand out.

For this draft, I just added a few extras to the cover. I added a plug to the "Reading festival line up: full review" coverlines. I also added the "Issue 254" bit to add a sense of realism to the cover.

Front Cover

For this, I used a rubbing out tool to make the cover image stand in front of the masthead. This gives a 3D type effect on the magazine and she is the main focus of attention. I put a shadow on the words "Callie Wren" which makes the coverline even bolder and one of the main focal points. I used a rectangular shape to highlight some of the band and artists names to give the front cover some layers and look a bit edgy.
